How to Connect Copilot Studio to Microsoft Foundry

In this video, I team up with fellow Microsoft MVP David Lorenzo to show how to connect a Copilot Studio agent with a Microsoft Foundry agent.

We start by creating a Foundry IQ knowledge base and then connect it to Copilot Studio. Along the way, we run into real issues that many people in the community are facing and we show how to fix them.

Here's what we cover:

  • Review of a Microsoft Foundry agent

  • Creating a Foundry IQ knowledge base

  • Connecting Copilot Studio to the Foundry agent

  • Fixing the missing "/" issue when copying the project endpoint

  • Solving the permission error by creating a custom role cloned from the Azure AI Developer role

  • How the agent-to-agent protocol works in practice

This is our first video together and we have more coming. Big thanks to Allison and Sara for letting us record at the Microsoft DevRel studios.

If you've been struggling to get Copilot Studio and Microsoft Foundry working together, this one is for you.
